Hello,
I will put here some photos from Finland. I try put here only picture which are more or less "news". They will be mainly from Helsinki-Vantaa (EFHK/HEL), but maybe someday also elsewhere in Finland.
I anyway start with the latest one. About 21:25 (local time) Kras Air/AirUnion latest addition their fleet landed EFHK.

I should take-off to Krasnoyarsk in about 30 minutes (23:30 Finnish Time) http://www.helsinki-vantaa.fi/internationaldep
This week Blue1 got their first own MD-90. This is also first Blue1's MD-90 wearing full c/s
Also this week, Finnair's first Airbus A340 arrived. This ex G-VFLY will start scheduled flights next week. It will fly first two weeks only domestic flights, before it will be on Finland - Asia routes.
Unfortunately I was able only take picture when it was already in hangar where it get Finnair c/s. Crap photo I know...

I put one more today and then that's it at least for a week. Earlier today I finnally got one of these. I think this is last of the five ex China Xinjiang Airlines ATR72's which came here to maintenance and left here wearign China Southern c/s. It was flying test flights today, so it will soon go back to China.

Zege, welcome! Interesting pics you've got here. Do you know what route is used to ferry ATRs from China and Back?
тип, I don't remember. I think it was mentioned somewhere when first ones came and go, but I don't remember where that information was. But it sure more technical stops that I hope to have, when I leave to China today :D Or at least I hope that my flight leaving in 3,5 hours and it will be direct flight :shock: Two Finnair's MD-11 were late yeasterday and one them was Helsinki - Beijing flight.
I planing to do some spotting tommorrow in Beijing, otherwise it just one these trips were I can see lot of intresting aircrafts, but not taking any pictures...
Zege, guys are very interested do you have any information about what routes are usually used for the planes transfer from Finland to Asia (especially to China)? And what airports are used for landings on these routes (especially russian airports)?
Sorry guys, I tried search some old messages, but I didn't found anything of those routes even I was pretty sure I have saw something. I also haven't heard if this one already have flight plan. As far as I know that one is still in Finland and no idea when it will leave. It was pretty ready of course, because it already made test flights.
Unfortunately I got to leave now, so I can't help with this one more. But in future if I have anything about any possible transfer flights I will let you know.
Wait, I found something. This is route which was used for one the transfer flights
Urumq - Novosibirsk - Kazan - Moscow - Helsinki
So I presume that it go back sameway.
Zege, thanx a lot! That's what I wanted to know - whether it lands in Omsk (like JAL CRJs did) or in Novosibirsk.

I don't want to sound picky, but why the partially Russian subject in the dedicated English-speaking forum? Supposedly, many readers wouldn't be able to decipher what 'Финляндия' is about.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Zege, do you actually live in Helsinki or Vantaa region? Have you been to Kauhava airshow yesterday?
Andrey, I live about 30km from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. I didn't go Kauhava, even this year I would have possibilty to do that. But I been traveling a bit June anyway, so it was just nice to be in home.
Finnair flew it's last MD-80 revenue flight today. Last flight was route Helsinki - Stockholm - Helsinki.

Yes, OH-LPC was last one on use. I don't know if here still is couple others as well, but that was last MD-80 flight for Finnair. Of course they still have their MD-11's :)

I mean that several DC-9-50s which were retired from Finnair are now flying for Khors Avia in Ukraine. And that is why I wonder whether any of retired DC-9-80s (aka MD-80s) will go to Ukraine too.

ah whatever :D All ukrainian airlines look so tiny from Sibera that it's really easy to mix'em up :)

I think you can see a patern here :mrgreen: So, I think OH-LPC will go to Sweden as well.
ex OH-LPD visited EFHK couple of weeks ago as it was flying FlyMe's flights

Yes, I think all the ex Finnair DC-9-50 which went to Khors are now leased for UM Air or Aero Asia. When they left Finland they were usually all white, no titles. I think this was one the exception, but either this one had any titles on it.
Yes, some of them initially left for Khors Air.
DC-9 - nostalgia ship. She was my first non-Russian made plane I've used - in 1995 by SAS to Oslo Gardemuen via ARN. And the first international airliner I've spotted in 1989.
That was the time btw when SAS provided one of the best services in Europe...:roll:
new c/s for Avies or just a new paint for ES-PLC?
Zege, good question but I don't know what to say. :)
Actually I haven't seen both "Avies" L-410s (ES-PLB and ES-PLC) at TLL for about a year - they were using two L-410s of "Apatas Air" (LY-AVT and LY-AVZ). Then about a month ago ES-PLC appeared again in new c/s. Probably ES-PLB will also appear soon :roll: .
I'll pay more attention to Avies planes and will let you know if I find out anything.
His Majesty King Abdullah had lunch today with Finnish President. So he flew over here with his "business jet" and arrived about at 12, had lunch and departed to London after 3 pm.
Another Avies question. Used Avies call sign when arrived/departed yesterday. Does anybody knows cn? Or ex registration?
RA-82080 was here whole day. Haven't seen these giant for while. I hope VDA & POL start flying via Helsinki like they did before summer.

A nice bird - love it since SAS replaced MD-82 with Saab-2000 on ARN-ARH route in late 90s (they were still with flags on a belly).
EU and ASEM summits are bringing interesting visitors to Helsinki-Vantaa. ASEM is at next weekend, but unfortunately wheater looks crap.

Il-76 is not very common visitor in Finland :-( But today we got two :D
First one came already yeasterday and standing in Helsinki-Vantaa, other one visitied at Pori today.

Btw, how you was able to get so close to Il-76 in Vantaa?
Il-76 is parked in technical area right next to employees parking lot. Excellent place :) They use that place some times for Air Finland's B757s. In this picture you can see that place from different angle. Left side of the picture you can see part of the parking lot's fence, so you can see how close you can get there. Il-76 is parked where DC-10's are in this picture.
