May 24 The T4 Top 4
By: Gail Grimmett, Senior Vice President, New York

Our new state-of-the-art Terminal 4 at New York’s JFK has its long-awaited grand opening today. You’ll see a lot of the improvements customers have been asking for over the years. Here’s what we we’re most excited about and think are the Top 4 in T4

1. Check-in

Delta now has the first six curbside check-in positions allowing you to drop your bag outside and head straight to your flight. If you would rather head inside into the redesigned ticketing lobby, you can check in at one of 40 counter positions or 26 self-service kiosks.

Sky Priority customers now have an experience unique to T4 – their own Sky Priority reception area. This 8,000 square-foot space offers 8 self-service kiosks, 12 counters staffed by friendly Delta faces and a roomy seating area. Once you’ve checked in, you’re off to your own dedicated Sky Priority line in the new centralized security checkpoint.

2. New dining options

The mix of restaurants in T4 reflects the international food options found on the streets of New York. With restaurants from James Beard Award winners like Danny Meyer (Shake Shack!) and Marcus Samuelsson, you’ll want to arrive early to sample the fare.

3. Delta Sky Club

The T4 Delta Sky Club is the largest in the Delta system at 24,000 square feet, and offers amenities and experiences you won’t find anywhere else. A chef-designed menu offers choices from small plates to sushi, cheese and charcuterie to dessert, so you can enjoy a pre-departure meal and use more of your flight time to sleep.

Our own Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, who also selects Delta’s Business Elite wine offerings, has curated a premium wine-by-the glass menu for the Club with many vintages that are often available only by the bottle, including Dom Perignon and Muga Prado Enea, Gran Reserva. The Club’s exclusivity will be at its best for those who reserve the Ciroc Lounge – a private space with seating and entertainment.

4. The Sky Deck at Delta Sky Club

The Sky Deck at Delta Sky Club makes its debut at JFK T4 as a 2,000 square foot rooftop terrace. This concept and space is truly one of a kind. It was developed in collaboration with Architectural Digest who selected renowned designer Thom Filicia who created a distinctive space that combines stunning runway views with the comfort, convenience and relaxation you’ve come to expect from the Delta Sky Club experience. It’s a great spot for plane spotters, aviation enthusiasts and jet setters to take in sights not available anywhere else!

What are you are most looking forward to at the new T4. What’s on your list?
