Piaggio Aero has won international recognition for its new Avanti II and won orders for more
than 100 aircraft worth US $630 million. At the NBAA Show in Orlando, Florida in November
last year, US fractional operator Avantair confirmed an order for 36 Avanti II aircraft with
Piaggio America for delivery from 2008 through to 2010 in a deal worth more than $230
million.

The 100th aircraft was delivered in October 2005.
A new Avanti II obtained European and US certification in November 2005. Six months later, seventy planes were already ordered (36 by Avantair).
