Russian airline S7 has extended flight and ancillary shopping capabilities on its website after deploying the OpenJaw t-Retail Platform. The technology enables airline customers to use the website, mobile application or call-centre to shop for and book flights from both S7 and its airline partners and access other services such as baggage, airport transfers and insurance. Hotels and car hire and currently being integrated into the booking flow. The t-Retail Platform integrates with Google’s ITA QPX air pricing and shopping software (a decision driven by the airline) to display one-way, return, one-way and multi-city options by price or frequent flyer miles. Further functionality includes an interactive map search, flight information such as duration, meals and baggage allowance and various payment options relevant to the market. In a statement the airline says its strategy is to become the ‘best Russia one-stop shop’ for travel products and services. Further phases of implementation will see dynamic packaging and promotions also available while an Android app is also in the works. OpenJaw announced S7 as the first airline on its t-Retail platform in 2012. -
