To set the proper rated thrust in the normal mode, the EEC calculates an N1 correction. Corrected N1 is based on ambient temperature. The EEC uses (P0) ambient pressure and (PT) total pressure to calculate Mach number. It uses Mach number and (TAT) total air temperature to calculate ambient temperature, and then corrects it for standard day conditions. There are multiple sources of TAT and P0.
There is only one source for PT.
