насколько понимаю, пока один полет и, если всё случится по-трамповско-максовскому - еще два и фсё... А предлог - ну как обычно, неэффективное расходование бюджетных средств, типа дорого очень, в отличие от... (понятно от кого)
Из пресс-релиза НАСА, выпущенного неделю назад (2 мая) по поводу бюджета на 2026 ф.г.:

• Transition the Artemis campaign to a more sustainable, cost-effective approach to lunar exploration.
  The SLS (Space Launch System) rocket and Orion capsule will be retired after Artemis III, paving the way for more cost-effective, next-generation commercial systems that will support subsequent NASA lunar missions. The budget also ends the Gateway Program, with the opportunity to repurpose already produced components for use in other missions. International partners will be invited to join these renewed efforts, expanding opportunities for meaningful collaboration on the Moon and Mars.

  Ракета SLS (Space Launch System) и капсула Orion будут выведены из эксплуатации после миссии Artemis III, что проложит путь для более экономически эффективных коммерческих систем следующего поколения, которые будут поддерживать последующие лунные миссии NASA. Бюджет также предусматривает закрытие программы Gateway, предоставляя возможность использовать уже произведенные компоненты в других миссиях. SpaceX is targeting Monday, May 12 for a Falcon 9 launch of 28 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 12:29 a.m. ET, with backup opportunities available until 3:29 a.m. ET. If needed, additional opportunities are also available on Monday, May 12 starting at 11:36 p.m. ET.

A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here and on X @SpaceX. You can also watch the webcast on the new X TV app.

This is the 28th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched CRS-22, Crew-3, Turksat 5B, Crew-4, CRS-25, Eutelsat HOTBIRD 13G, O3B mPOWER-A, PSN SATRIA, Telkomsat Merah Putih 2, Galileo L13, Koreasat-6A, and 16 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Очередной испытательный полет Старшип планируют в текущем месяце. Предварительно уже называют дату, 21 мая. Понятно, что это неточно. Могут назначить другую дату. Корабль прошел статический прожиг и его перевезли автотранспортом. А что, эту дорогу в свободное от Старшипа время можно использовать для движения прочих автомобилей.
